1. What is STB Emu and how does it work?

STB Emu is an Android application that emulates the interface of a physical MAG Set-Top Box. It allows users to access IPTV services via a “Portal” system, providing a traditional TV experience with menus, categories, and an Electronic Program Guide (EPG).

2. Is there a difference between the Free and Pro versions?

Yes. The Free version includes advertisements and limited customization. The Pro version offers an ad-free experience, faster performance, and more advanced settings for remote control mapping and video scaling.

3. How do I find my MAC address in STB Emu?

To find your MAC address:

• Open the app and go to Settings.

• Select Profiles and click on your active profile.

• Choose STB Configuration.

• Look for the MAC-address field (usually starts with 00:1A:79).

4. Why am I getting a “Portal Blocked” or “STB Blocked” error?

This error usually happens for three reasons:

• Wrong MAC Address: The MAC address in your settings does not match the one registered with your provider.

• Expired Subscription: Your IPTV service plan may have ended.

• Multiple Logins: You might be trying to use the same MAC address on two different devices simultaneously.

5. Can I use STB Emu on a Windows PC or iOS device?

STB Emu is natively designed for Android. However, you can run it on a Windows PC or Mac using an Android emulator like BlueStacks. Currently, there is no official version of STB Emu for iOS (iPhone/iPad).

6. What is the recommended internet speed for STB Emu?

For a buffer-free experience, we recommend:

• Standard Definition (SD): 5 Mbps

• High Definition (HD): 10-15 Mbps

• 4K/Ultra HD: 25 Mbps or higher

7. How do I update the Portal URL?

If your provider changes their server address:

• Go to Settings > Profiles.

• Select your profile and click on Portal Settings.

• Click Portal URL and enter the new link provided by your service.

• Return to the main screen and select Reload Portal.
